The
idea of forming a charity was actually conceived in the Autumn of 1995,
when the Headmaster of a local school, met with a prominent businessman
and the parents of two children who had special needs. Some of them having
been involved with other national charities perceived that funds raised
locally were not always finding their way back to source. This therefore
was a cause for some disappointments. They set about drawing up the draft
guidelines which have become the guiding principles of our organization.
The four signatories Mr Brian Foley, Mr Arthur McIntyre, Mr Andrew Bairstow
and Mrs Sevena Jones were the first Trustees of Bravehearts Childrens
Trust
