ACHIEVEMENTS
From a standing start in 1996, our charity has come a long way. In the first year of operation, we were able to help no less than 222 children. Since then we have maintained an average of 20 children per month being granted a wish and our total to date stands at 1150.

The types of wishes requested and granted have varied. They have ranged from simple requests for a television to the more difficult to arrange meeting with a popular film star. Obviously some of the requests are out of our range and are near impossible to grant. However, we do try extremely hard to provide what the child has requested. We have on two occasions sent parties of children and their families to Disneyworld Florida, likewise parties have been able to spend 4 or 5 days in Disneyland Paris. Every year we send groups of children to Lapland to meet Santa and enjoy the delights of the winter wonderland.

We have sent individual children and their families on holiday to numerous locations throughout the UK. We have also funded very special holidays for children who require one to one care. These holidays are very special and provide the child with an enriching experience as well as providing a little relief to the parents from the daily burden of constant care.

Other wishes we have successfully granted are backstage meetings with members of one of the more popular boy bands, Stadium tour and autograph session with the first team pool of one of the major Scottish football clubs.

Sensory equipment, Special needs toys, outdoor/indoor play equipment, Second Skin Body Splints, Electronic Games, Playhouses, TV/VCRs, and personal computers are some of the more popular wishes.
